E, the students of North Central Bible Institute and Business Col- lege, have been made partakers of the great salvation provided us by our Lord Jesus Christ. We are the recipients of His Divine love. Therefore we have endeavored to present in the 1940 Archive the message of the Scarlet Cord by design, narrative, and illustration. The Scarlet symbolic of the Blood of Christ, saved Rehab and herhousehold. H15 STORY 1 COVER EA, hath God said? Thus from a seed of doubt sprang a harvest of sorrow, the extent of which God alone could measure. Only God's eternal love and wisdom could conceive a plan adequate to redeem man from the folly of his own choice. That startling word Blood would be the last one man would select for a symbol of peace and purity. Though blood would render whatever it touches impure, it is the only remedy for sin! When God slew animals to provide a covering for the first man and woman, He let down a SCARLET LIFE LINE which threads its way through sacred history. Christ at Calvary is fore- shadowed in type and symbol throughout the Bible. It was here that the Seed of the woman bruised the Serpent's head, and although as yet we do not see all things put under His feet, WE DO SEE lESUS. The look of the Christian is the upward one. The Old Testament concludes with the solemn warning, lest I come and smite the earth With a curse. How different the New! There we read, and there shall be no more curse. The answer to this startling change is found in Galatians 3:13. We read, Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every $MWJ x3?
