CLASS HISTORY YE have not chosen me but I have chosen you are the words Jesus addressed to His disciples more than nineteen hundred years ago. These same words were again sounded into the ears of young men and women in many parts of the United States, and as we yielded to the will of God, we found ourselves assembling in N. C. B. I. as the Freshmen class of 1934. At first, it seemed strange to us, but the cordial welcome which we received from the Dean, Matron, and members of the Faculty made us feel right at home. That first year was a most blessed year, for God' 5 presence was so real to each heart. There were times during our classes when books, papers, and pencils were laid aside as that great teacher, the Holy Spirit, spoke to our hearts and melted and broke them before Him. How swiftly the year passed by! Before we realized it, our school term had ended and we found it hard to sever friendships made in N. C. B. I. It was with willing and anxious hearts that we returned as Juniors, for now we felt that North Central Bible Institute was truly our spiritual home. During the summer months, members of the class had been engaged in assisting with Gospel work. Because of the great need which the fields presented, we felt God confirming His call upon our lives. And so as we entered school with the tug of the Spirit at our hearts, we determined to press into the depths of God's inspired Word. We desired His divine will to be worked out, and were confident that the only way to be at our best for our Master was to do as Paul wrote, HStudy to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Our course of study proved equally as interesting and inspiring as that of the first year. Day after day we listened to the hidden riches of God being unfolded to us by Spirit-tilled teachers, and we counted it a privilege to sit at Jesus' feet and to learn of Him. God's presence was in our midst continually and we found our wills conforming to His will as our lives were purified by God's refining process. Now, as members of the Senior Class, we are brought to the realization of the responsibility that rests upon those called of God. It has been a busy year but wonderful in which God' 3 power has been greatly manifested. Our hearts are saddened when we think of leaving North Central Bible Institute never to return again as students. Yet, there is a peace and joy in our souls because God has chosen us to go forth in the name of Jesus and point men and women to the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world. Commencement has come. We feel indeed appreciative to our beloved Faculty for the encouraging words and tender instruc- tions of the past years. And now, as we receive our diplomas, we rededicate and recOnsecrate our lives unto Him who has commis- sioned us to HGo into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature . 8
