In the athletics ' department, baseball, basket- ball for both boys and girls, football and track were offered. As NC was made up of freshmen only, the teams were rather inexperienced but en- thused . South Central, Lewis and Clark as we know it today, burned down in 1910 . As a result, South Central students were transferred to NC. During that period, the two schools joined forces as The Spokane High School. Both NC and SC temporarily abandoned their own school colors and took on the Blue and White . In the Spring of 1912, South Central students returned to their home across the river, the new Lewis and Clark High School. Thus, the first graduating class of North Central proudly spent its senior year, 1913, under dear old Red and Black! Just watch us--ask us— We ' ll show you all how You can make yourselves seen. Have Echoed Through the NC Halls At last we must leave, Ne ' er again to return . Farewell, North Central High! Forever your walls will re-echo the sound Of that grand immortal cry Of ' 13 — Ra! Ra! And so it was. During the course of its 68 years, thous- ands of students have walked through the hallways of NC . Though the majority lose touch with their alma mater, the spirit and pride that are our school have lived on.
