In many ways that is what North Central means to me. Who can precise- ly state what North Central really signifies? It is so real and so true to say that it was, and it is opportunity, joy, work, play, suc- cess, failure, sorrow, friendships. It is history and tradition; it is the cutting edge of tomorrow . But whatever else North Central is, it is peo- ple caring, sharing, hoping, dreaming, re- membering, helping, without reference to age, status, or gender. Yes, North Central was, and North Central is. We are all ex- periencing it. . ' o

Vice Principals Assist With Curriculum, Students North Central to me is one hundred years of fond memories carefully compressed into a twenty-eight year career. They are memories of little people and big people cast in a unique spirit — timeless and forever. North Central has a tremendous follow- ing in the city of Spokane. It has pride in each of the old bricks which mortar has held tight all these years. When you think over the many experi- ences in life, the high school years spent at North Central had a tremendous impact. NC may be torn down some day, but it will be remembered by each and every student . The spirit of NC is its students, teachers, halls, gyms, pep cons, teams, and in a few short years, graduation . This is still Indian Country. 21
