Class of ' 70 graduates; 1971 Qeniors fake over The 1970 seniors held their commencement ceremonies at the fairgrounds Coliseum. Nancy Hayes served as valedictorian and Vicki Gardner as salutatorian. Twilight in Central Park was the theme of the 1970 Junior Prom, which was held on May 9, at the Indiana Roof. Music was provided by the Jim Edison Dance Band. Dave Heiliger and Barb Meyer were crowned King and Queen. The seniors of 1971 took part in many of the homecoming activi- ties. Jane Thompson was the chairman of the senior class float, Panthers Break the Cardinal Rule. RIGHT — Barb Myer and Dave Heiliger were crowned Queen and King of the 1970 Junior Prom. i ariety signals NC s+udent life via seminars studying is a very important part of eyery NC students ' s time schedule but plays, seminars, dances and charity projects serve to make school more enjoyable. Lockets, the girl ' s service club, along with the Key Club spon- sored can drives to help needy families. The Senior class took on a tutoring program to help chil- dren at the East Side Christian Center. The Student Council took time to set up numerous seminars throughout the year on various subjects such as Zero Population Growth, Woman ' s Liberation and student-faculty rap sessions. Doing lab work in the Chemis- try classrooms, smiling at pho- tographers, studying, talking and sharing ideas along with keeping things in repair all go along to make up North Central student life.
