Centrali+es participate in l-M football, track Members of the Fall Tennis Team, Intramural football players, and participants of the Cross Country meets all helped make each fall sport a success. The 1970 Tennis Team cap- tured the Tennis Sectionals for the fourth consecutive year. Dave Heiliger and Greg Millis placed first in Sectional Doubles Com- petition. The senior intramural football team, Putz, captured glory and the honor of victory when they de- feated their stiff competition. They finished the season with a proud 7-0 score. The North Central Cross Coun- try Team captured second place in the county meet in spite of various illnesses and injuries. The Harriers were defeated in the meet only by Southport. Rick Sto- ver destroyed Centrals two mile record with an unbelievable time of 9:36. TOP — The 1970 Fall Tennis Team conquered first place in the Fall Sectionals; BOTTOM — Intramural football plays a big role in fall sports. Student Life — 15

i ariety signals NC s+udent life via seminars studying is a very important part of eyery NC students ' s time schedule but plays, seminars, dances and charity projects serve to make school more enjoyable. Lockets, the girl ' s service club, along with the Key Club spon- sored can drives to help needy families. The Senior class took on a tutoring program to help chil- dren at the East Side Christian Center. The Student Council took time to set up numerous seminars throughout the year on various subjects such as Zero Population Growth, Woman ' s Liberation and student-faculty rap sessions. Doing lab work in the Chemis- try classrooms, smiling at pho- tographers, studying, talking and sharing ideas along with keeping things in repair all go along to make up North Central student life.
