Race starts Homecoming ' 70 activities The 1970 Homecoming festivi- ties commenced witli tlie annual trike race. The Dynamic Davis Dragsters achieved first place after beating stiff competition. Following a fantastic Key Club skit, the candidates for queen were presented, and the student body was given a chance to vote for their choice for Homecoming Queen. Jody Reel, last year ' s Homecoming Queen, returned to crown her successor, Margie Koerten, during halftime at the game. At the turnabout dance, spon- sored by the Student Council, Jonathan Snyder was proclaimed king. Out in the Country was the theme and the Soul Messen- gers provided the music.
