Many activities involve N.C. students Service projects, club meetings and play rehearsals kept Central- ites busy this fall. Lockets, the girls service club gave many a chance to do something for the school. Under the direction of president Bette Perry, the girls sponsored can drives, and cleaned the windshields in the parking lot. The American Field Service club provided many N.C. students with a means to meet the ex- change students and study other countries. The president, of AFS is senior, Ruthie Meyer. Young Life meetings with sing- ing, skits, and discussion were very popular with Centralites. BIythe Spirit, the fall play, which required much time and patience by the cast was a success. RIGHT — Blithe Spirit , a tale of ghosts and seances, was presented by N.C. students. CO CM in 10 — student Life

Race starts Homecoming ' 70 activities The 1970 Homecoming festivi- ties commenced witli tlie annual trike race. The Dynamic Davis Dragsters achieved first place after beating stiff competition. Following a fantastic Key Club skit, the candidates for queen were presented, and the student body was given a chance to vote for their choice for Homecoming Queen. Jody Reel, last year ' s Homecoming Queen, returned to crown her successor, Margie Koerten, during halftime at the game. At the turnabout dance, spon- sored by the Student Council, Jonathan Snyder was proclaimed king. Out in the Country was the theme and the Soul Messen- gers provided the music. TOP — Margie Koerten smiles with happiness as Jody Reel crowns her 1970 Homecoming Queen. BOTTOM — North Central Panther tackles Southport player at Homecoming game. 12 — Student Life
