Juniors This was a year for several honors for the members of thejunior class. Barb Boetz was named Outstanding Junior and honored at BGSU, Tammy Sickmiller ran for an office in State FHA, and Barb Boetz, Susan Keil, Becky Leslie, Brenda Sumner and Chris Trausch were inducted into honor society. The class was very busy with their candy sales and nearly daily reminders in the fall to put candy wrappers in their proper place. Spring brought an end to concession sales at athletic events but that was replaced with work on the prom. Earlier in the year the class sold stocking caps. Girls' State delegates were Brenda Sumner and Tammy Sickmiller with Chirs Trausch and Barb Boetz as altemates. Jeff Gunn brought home state and national honors with his science fair project. Naomi Alpaugh Kevin Aschliman Brook Bandeen Corisa Bandeen Sophomores Are Small But Mighty When the sophomores returned to school in the fall they looked around and noticed they were the smallest class and seemed to be getting even smaller. That didn't stop some of them from challenging the other classes. Tim Ross decided his field was chess and defeated all others who entered the annual tournament. Susie Orcutt was chosen to represent N.C. at the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation Seminar in Columbus. Several sophomores played on the junior varsity boys' basketball team which chalked up I6 victories. The class chose Gwen Whitis to represent them for the second year in the homecoming court. In the spring Brook Bandeen, Ted Frame, Sue Orcutt. Sharon Oyer and Scott Sparks were tapped into Honor Society. Class rings also came in the spring. A raffle was their major money making project. Marv Anderson was again their class advisor. 1. Tami Carrothers does some deep thinking. 2. Ted Frame uses his muscles in track. 3. Angie Semer and Mary Cogswell take an outdoor lunch break. 4. Donna Robison, Linda Bennett, Sue Orcutt and Gwen Whitis try to figure out what's next at pep session. 5. Sue Orcutt tries to fill out her application for the seminar. f of V ty . .
