Springtime had brought out the water pistols and even these were packed for the trip. Fun in sunny Florida - well unless you got too much sun - was the motto of those seniors who made the trip. The day after the trip it was time for graduation practice and the end was in sight. One more major event was staged before the seniors got out A the Athletic Banquet. Lee Steinke got the Outstanding Athlete award from the Chamber of Commerce. Julie Stephens. the Gamboe Sportsmanship Award, and Angie Eckley and Curt Bandeen, the WBNO Outstanding Athlete Awards. Graduation came at last, with Honor Students Cathy Reeder and David St. John presenting their views. Curt Bandeen presented the class gift of chairs for the auditorium. The ceremony was over and happily the class tossed their caps in the air.
