Traditionally the seniors have sponsored the first sock hop of the year. However, with the winter and all the cancellations, the seniors began to wonder if there was ever going to be a first sock hop of the year. Homecoming brought the selection of Lori Motter as Homecoming Queen and Angie Eckley as the senior attendant. The members of the basketball team came through with the win to make the evening one to remember. To make more money for the trip the class raffled beef. With the winter came snow and more snow and more snow. That meant some school was cancelled. Seniors, along with underclassmen, would have to make some of them up, but luckily they managed to miss one which was tacked on to the end of the year. Snow meant snowballs to some, and more than one senior had a little problem with the white stuff. Seniors brought home more honors as Joe Burkard and Shane Sumner placed 3rd in the 4-County Tractor Trouble Shooting Contest, Deb Mocherman qualified for the state Americanism Contest. and Betty Grimm placed in the Voice of Democracy Speech Contest again.
