Boogie Down And Get to Work.' Boogie down and hold tight. Get ready for a Boogie Night! That could have been the motto of many North Central students for the '77-'78 school year. There was a time for work and a time for play: and believe it or not. NC students could be found doing both into the night. lt wasn't all work and no play. however. Try not to move during makeup while everyone is laughing at your costume. Or try to keep from peeking out behind the curtain to watch dress rehearsal. Ted Frame found it not all work when he got his award at Van Buren. too. Basketball games. wrestling matches. parents' nights. flashlight and pom pom routines - it was a lot of hard work getting there. but the final results were something to be proud of. Awards assemblies were annual events along with the chorus getting ready for state contest. Receiving another superior rating at district. the chorus traveled to state along with the band, which for the first time in NC history received a superior rating at district. Also receiving a superior rating was the FFA for its work in arliamentary procedure. a contest hosted by NC for all of Williams county. Sometimes NCHS participants forewent supper. sometimes a favorite TV show, but most of the time it was homework. Whatever the case was, NC's small amount of students were involved in a large amount of activities and were busy on those Boogie Nights throughout the year. YI?
