Our first stop was at Shooles Cafeteria where we could eat all the food we wanted for noth- ing and boy did we eat. Then we left and checked into our Hotel and made a fast change and boarded the bus again to begin the sight seeing tour. We went all over Wash- ington, D.C. , in fact, it seemed like we went through all the buildings there. Then, back to the Hotel, all ringing wet, we went. There we stayed for the night. The theme of the Christmas Dance was Christmas in the Park. The Senior play, Oh Promise Me, was quite an experience for the entire cast as well as their director, Mr. Wilson, showing many new talents. There were not too many practices when every- one was there or enough time to practice in. The cast pulled through very well and the play was a success. Seniors Find Themselves Very Busy in Spring I!! Then the big excitement came around Christ-3 mas as we received our senior picturesg rushing around signing the backs of pictures and auto- graphing memory booklets and getting yelled at in class for having them out. As Spring arrived, the Seniors began to feel the pressure of keeping their grades up, planning the Senior trip, picking their invitations and name cards, ordering their caps and gowns, and finally, planning graduation exercises. SHIRLEY MARTIN TERRY MERCER York. Because of a bus breakdown we miss- ed the Radio City Music Hall show Qwe made it up later in our tourj. There we spent two wonderful nights in New York and left later then scheduled the third night. Then be- sides being late at the start, the bus broke down again. The generator had blown and we rode with no lights to Pittsburgh where another bus was waiting for us. We arrived home the 31 at 10:30. Much thanks, goes to Mr. Wright and Mr. Buchanan for a fine time. They per- in State in German II mitted us to do anything'that was in reason. They were strict enough but not too strict. At the request of some seniors they put on wigs to look like hippies. They even took us off the regular guide tour to take us where we wanted to go.
