Those who knew Brandt remember him as a person who constantly strove to improve on himself and who derived great pleasure from doing so. He would always question those around him and would never be satisfied until he understood. Still, Brandt always smiled. Even when things didn't go his way, he smiled. Then, the people around him caught on and began to smile also. We have all reached periods when we were trying to find out who we were and where we were going. There have also been times when we wished we could fly away. Eventually, you, the students, will emerge and enter the main- stream of life. Hopefully, it will be into a sweet, sweet dream . But, you will have to try, and you will have to care. I was beginning to Wonder these last couple weeks, but We pulled it off. Take a good look, North Central. This is your first yearbook in many long years. Sure, it's not perfect, but you have to think of this as an experimental book. lf you help out on next year's edition, it can improve SVCD. 1'I1O IC This book is the sum of the efforts of many people. Special thanks must go to Georgia Velisaris, Judy Wofford, and Doreen Penczek for their help in the lay- out of this book. Their time and creative force contributed greatly to the flavor of the pages. Most of the photography in the book is courtesy of Cindy Sikorski, Kriss Brown Chris Larsen, and myself. Without photos, a yearbook can't exist! A final thank you goes to all the campus community who constantly supported us by purchasing the book, by having your portraits taken, and by personally encouraging us to continue. jim Bull of American Yearbook Co. , you were a big help!
