Although it was planned to be held out-of- doors in front of Old Main, this year's May Fete was pushed inside the Merner Field House by traditional May showers. Following the Maypole dance Cpictured immediately belowl and the coronation of King Rex Bob Goerne and Queen Joyce Hogan, a mock Maypole dance was hilariously performed by members of the Sophomore Class Csee lower picturej. The Freshman Class presented a song skit which added to the wild pageantry Csee picture on page 281. Then, the royalty and court proceeded to the Student Union Centennial Hall where an all-school dance was held to complete the festivities.
