Every true scientist is guided in his work by a time-proven scientific formula: fundamental premises, observation, careful examination, and conclusion. How similar is the administration of a school, with its insight into problems, painstaking deliberation and decisive action for the good of the whole organization. But administration involves even more: it is devoted service, perseverance, and inspired leadership, it is adherence to a purpose, unselfish interest in youth, ability to incite willing cooperation. Brother joseph has proven himself a true scientist, a true educator and administrator during his six years as principal of North Catholic. Whether welcoming guests, deliberat- ing legislation, or attending the less pleasant tasks of administration, he has kept in mind the best interests of North. His spirit of service was always evident. Though he leaves North Catholic, we are con- fident that he will be forever true, true to the youth he serves, to the ideals he believes in. We are, therefore, assured that in dedicating this ninth volume of the TROJAN to Brother joseph J. Panzer, we, the class of 1951, express not only our own appreciation and admiration but the senti- ments of preceding graduating classes, the underclassmen, and all who had the opportunity to work under him. . im.

A WE ELEAE TAKE-EEE AEEA T THE COMPLETION of his first year at North, the 1946 TROJAN was dedicated to the new principal, prophetically awarding him a niche in North Catholic's hall of fame. How much more reason have we, the class of 1951, to dedicate this annual to Brother joseph, now that he has given our Alma Mater six years of service. Though his term is done and his talents will be applied with equal vigor elsewhere, he remains at North Catholic . . . in the fond memory of six graduating classes . . . in the ideals and traditions which will guide future Trojans . . . in the songs of victory chanted in the proud halls of Troy. To express well deserved honor and gratitude, we, then, with pride dedi- cate for the second time a volume of the TROJAN to Brother joseph J. Panzer, S.M.
