Through their diligent efforts we have mastered the principles of mathe- matics, history, science and literature, assuring us of a fighting chance to compete in the materialistic world, and yet retain in its entirety the teachings of the Catholic Church. Through science we have learned of the mysteries and complexities of the universe, with a realization of the greatness of the God who created them. We have learned history with ia view to the goodness and majesty of the Creator, Who has shaped and guided the destiny of the world since its very beginning. Similarly, we have been shown the necessity for the Christian morality which must govern the actions of men in all of their undertakings. Leonard A. Mann, S.M. Joseph E. Moritz, S.M. '-f 'N 11

Foremost among the activities in the minds of both faculty and students was the Marianist Sodality. There they strived successfully to turn the minds of the Catholic lay leaders of the future towards the Blessed Mother. Through their patient instruction they have kindled a fiame of love for the Blessed Virgin in our hearts that will always glow bright. Mr. J. William Kerns Mr. George Kisiday ., Z av' Mr. Harry J. The most useful knowledge they have given us, however, is an understand- ing of the teachings of the Catholic Church and the foundations upon which the Church has been built. These assure our success in combating the errors and pitfalls to eternal salvation which abound in the world today. They insure our spiritual success, both in this life and in the one to follow. Mr. Robert J. Niesslein Kevin J. O'Reilly, S.M. The faculty enjoyed their Thanksgiving Day dinner. Both faculty and students had much for which to be thankful. duff'
