Three days in mid-February Wesleyan students and local residents at- tended three symposiums enti- tled, Promises and Perils. The symposiums provided an overall view of the advantages and disad- vantages of nuclear power. Doctor Bell and David Martin were two of the experts on hand. Both agreed that the purpose of the symposiums was to generate interest in the subject and to pro- vide a greater amount ofinforma- tion concerning it. Students reaction was mixed, but the anti-nuclear people voi- ced their opinions loudly. They staged a protest march in front of the gym, carried posters and handed out leaflets. Both faculty and students participated in the rally.
