'if ---Y f - --f-. f Y -1- -- i. -1 , Choosing a college to attend is a difficult decision, The weekends of November 14-16, 1979 and March 16-18, 1980 found Wesleyfan Col- lege as the host of many high school juniors and seniors. The prospec- tive students attended school ac- tivities, were given campus tours, and greeted very warmly by the students, faculty, and administra- tion. After the final decision has been made and the new students begin their campus life, much must be explored and learned. The return- ing students, faculty and adminis- tration again greeted the incoming freshmen very warmly. Beginning on September 1, 1979 Freshmen orientation began and a week of testing, meetings, and social events, began the freshmen's lives as part of the North Carolina Wesleyan Col- leges family. Faculty and stu- dents alike took place in .1 Pie Throwing Contest on the Student Union Patio. Cn Friday night the lies- tivities moved to the Rocky Mount fairgrounds for Ll pig-pickin. The soccer and volleyball teams opened Saturday's celebration. The 1979 Homecoming Court was presented during half-time ofthe soccer game. The annual Homecoming dance was held on Saturday night at the Shriners Club in Rocky Mount. Monica St. jean, representing Nu Gamma Phi fraternity was crowned Homecoming Queen 1979.
