Roger Taylor, Admissions Counselor I find that my position as Admissions Counselor at North Carolina Wes- leyan has been a valuable experience, in that it has afforded me an opportu- nity for exploration-exploration of people and places. Thus, my job has proved to enlighten as well as in- tensify my perspective, all of which for me, is another important and nec- essary step towards reaching maturity. fvs. wr-inhuman- f ' 1 'L,m:auwm' .at4 if B2- .Est it1':i':.f'fiE'5-E5J?:i'.'FV W l 1 ,,, M, .. ,M l.W.E. loyner Director of Public Relations In essence, the role of a public rela- tions officer is to present the vitality and vigor of the student body and the college to the general public through the use of all media possible-news- papers, television, radio, alumni newsletters and information bulletins, We attempt to utilize every avenue leading to this goal-to inform the public both regionally and distant about Wesleyan College. 20 As a private college admissions coun- selor, I find my tasks have been more difficult because of our rapid chang- ing society. Even with innovative and forward looking programs, Wesleyan is like other private institutions finding their product harder to market due to rising cost and declining interest for a liberal arts education.
