Collins The President of North Carolina Wesleyan College Conscious of our obligation and opportunity for leadership in the continued growth and development of North Carolina Wesleyan College, we, the administration and faculty, dedicate ourselves to a Christian involvement with the students as persons of individual needs and abilities. We aspire to make this a community of learners, both teachers and students, who are committed to seek knowledge and truth, believing they are mutually inclusive. We propose to demonstrate that the Christian faith is not a handicap for the honest mind, but rather will prepare us all with a sense of responsibility for our talents and abilities. We propose to create an awareness of our stewardship responsibility to our Cod, our society, and ourselves for the abilities we possess and the education we attain within this community of learning. We urge each member of the college community to dedicate himself to the fulnllment of his role as a worthy member within a distinguished family of Christian institutions of higher leaming in the best tradition of the Methodist Church.
