School of The science of agriculture is finding in- creasing application on the forms, in manu- facturing plants, in processing plants, and in the entire network of soles and distribution of agricultural products in North Carolina. No longer does agricultural science apply only to farms. Men trained in the biological sciences and agricultural sciences are finding employment in o wide variety of professional, industrial, and forming activities. The grad- uates of the School of Agriculture OM molding many of the changes which are taking place so rapidly and which are building a greater North Carolina. Likewise, they are finding their place in other parts of the nation as leaders in their respective fields. The mule and plow con no longer characterize agricul- ture. The agricultural leaders of today are those with mastery of chemistry, the biological sciences, agricultural business management, agricultural engineering, public policy and the techniques of efficient plant and animal production, processing and marketing. The young men and women of North Carolina hove the talent and the School of Agriculture provides the training. Throughout the state and notion there is o demand and a willing- ness to pay for those with both the talent and the training. Dean D. W. CoIvord

Bob Pilch, President Miss Ridh Porter, Sponsor Agriculture Club Ag Club membership consists of students in the School of Agriculture and the Department of Agricultural Education. The Ag Club was organized in 1917 to provide recreational, educationa l, and entertainment programs for its members, and to promote school spirit. The club strives to accomplish these objectives through a variety of activities. At the week- ly meetings members enjoy informal talks, illustrated lectures, educational movies, and entertainment programs. It also sponsors the Students Ag Fair, the Bornworming, Ag Day, and has its own outstanding publication, The N. C. State Agriculturist.
