Lewis Adviser The aims of the Agronomy Society are to stimulate interest in the field of Agronomy, to aid in carrying on student activities, and to improve relotionships between faculty and students. Each year the club sponsors educational exhibits at the North Corolina State Fair and an Awards Banquet is held during the spring semester at which time the club presents an award to the outstanding instructor in the School of Agriculture. Agriculture Club Ag Club membership consists of students in the School of Agriculture ond the Department of Agriculture in the School of Educotion. The Ag Club was organized in 1917 to promote leader- ship in agriculture and campus activities, to provide recreational, educational, and entertoinment programs for its members, ond to promote school spirit. The club strives to occomplish these objectives through a voriety of activities. At the weekly meetings members enjoy in- formal talks, illustrated lectures, educational movies, and entertainment programs. It also sponsors the Student ' s Ag Fair, the Barnwarming, Ag Day, and has its own out- standing publication, THE N. C. STATE AGRICUL- TURE. The North Carolina Chapter was the eighth of forty-five chapters and was chartered in 1904. Its aims are perhaps best expressed in the words of the founders: Alpha Zeta wos established neither as on honorary nor as a social froternity, but as a professional fraternity whose membership shall be combined of the qualities of high scholarship, fine fellowship, and sound character. These are the vital qualities of real leadership in the field of agriculture for which the fraternity was established to en- courage and develop.
