DON CALDERON President PHI EPSILON PI SAFFER COHN SIMON OFFICERS DONALD CALDERON Superior HENRY SAFFER Vice-Superior EMIL COHN, III Secretary BOB SIMON Treasurer Soon after the end of World War II a new fraternity, Phi Epsilon Tau, was formed on the State College campus. The principles it stood for were simple and unique. They were liberalism, and nonsectarianism. Bound together by these interlocking maxims the fraternity grew in number and in spirit. In June of 1949 the local chapter of Phi Epsilon Tau was formally chartered by the national organization of Phi Epsilon Pi Fraternity. In March of 1953 the group, finding their physical plant no longer adequate, moved to their present headquarters on Hawthorne Road. The highlight of the year ' s social activity is the annual Phi Ep week end at which new members are initiated and new officers are installed.
