V I ' ' Jn PP recia tlo n The staff of the 1950 Agromeck on behalf of the student bodv takes this opportunity to express our appre- ciation to Professor L. L. Vaughan upon his retirement from active faculty participation after 41 years of seryice. Professor Vaughan, until the day of his retirement, had been connected with State College since he entered as a freshman in 1902, with the exception of two years, 1909-191 1, during which he was at Columbia Uniyersity. He is an outstandino teacher and a man of broad under- o standing of the problems which faced him and the stu- dents with whom he worked at State College. As his teaching career has been brousht to a close, Professor Vauohan lono will be remembered as a belo ed instructor and ad iser who could teach his students by pointing to his own handiwork. Professor L. L. Vaughan, B.S., M.E. James J. Stewart, B.S., iM.A. LvLE B.. Rogers, A.B., M.S. The school year of 1949-50 marked the establishment of the Inter-Dormitory Council as one of the leading organiza- tions on the State College campus. The two men most directly responsible for the growth and development of the Council are James J. Stewart and Lyle B. Rosers. Mr. Stewart has done an outstanding job in bringing about the physical rehabilitation of the college domitories in co-operation with the IPC, while Mr. Rogers has served most effcc- ti el ' as a counselor in helping students to resolve some of their many problems. The genial personalities and willingness to be of service at all times of these two men have sained them the admiration o and respect of the student body for a job well done.
