This beautiful edifice is a memorial to the North Carolina State College men who gave their lives in the World War. As this tower stands in memory of these sons of State College, so does this year-. book remain in respect to the North Carolinians who portrayed their spirit and interest in the Tar Heel State by taking outstanding parts in the six major wars participated in by North Carolina. To those of you who read this 1937 edition of the AGROMECK. we with to leave a review of the active parts played in periods of the past by a few of North Carolina ' s outstanding men. By giving you the pictorial representations of these wars and their invincible participants on these pages and others ro follow. we wish that you may not rementher them only for their artistic beauty, but—remember them as the undaunted and tireless efforts of men of this State to make it one of which we can all be justly proud. It is the hope of the editors that the accumulation of memories, activities, and intimations contained in these pages will serve as ample reminders of North Carolina State College. 0
