At one time it shared with the School of Engineering the distinction of being the only schools in the college. The School of Agriculture reaches out and touches the lives of the people of North Carolina in a fundamental way. Its research and extension activities constitute a large part of its program. The School of Agriculture is ably headed by Dean Ira Obed Schaub. Dean Schaub probably understands the needs of agri- cultural North Carolina better than any other one man. Page Twenty-three
