CURRICULUM And sorry I could not travel both . . ... So many choices! Courses this year were more diverse than ever, ranging from the Jordan Lake Project to the popular Soviet semi- nar. It was hard to resist the temp- tation to overburden ourselves, to take so many classes as, in the words of Dr. Youngblood, to be spread as thin as a mononuclear film. Study groups formed constant- ly, like mushrooms after rain. There were also Shabazz skits, chem labs and the night-before rush on Teague ' s calculus work- sheets. Courses such as Astronomy and Wisdom, Revelation, Reason and Doubt (WRRD, fondly pro- nounced weird! ' ) took up large amounts of time but, in the end, were wel I worth it. We knew if we had taken the other, more famil- iar, road, so many options would not be available to us. The emphasis on individual study for Special Projects Week, designed to give students a chance to pursue in depth a particular in- terest, gave us more of an opportu- nity to branch out. Certainly, there were many de- cisions to be made regarding the roads taken to achieve our goals. Curriculum
