1955 OFFICERS OF THE SENIOR CLASS PERCELL BOWSER President RUDOLPH DUDLEY Vice-President EURYDICE WILLIAMS Assistant Secretary VIRGINIA HENRY Treosurer Not Pictured NANCY LAWHORN Secretary When we became o part of North Caro- lina College four years ago, we realized that a great task was placed before us. This was the task of making ourselves worthy of being citizens of the North Carolina College community. As we sang the Alma Mater for the first time ond pondered over the meaning of the words, ' The sloping hills, the verdant green, we had no idea how these same words would leave a scor of love ond devotion for our college for the great transformation which it has impressed upon our lives. We hove come olong a rood of knowl- edge scattered with rocks of challenges to be overcome by our own judgments. When we felt that the challenges were too great for us to face, a small but stern voice of pride was heard echoing the reassuring words that as Eagles, we must not falter but follow the path of those who have gone before. As our last chapter is closed on our college career, we can glonce back over our four years at North Carolina College and truthfully say we have benefited from all our experiences. We hove been truthful to the traditions and ideals of our college and we hove served the college in our best capacities. Nevertheless, when finis is written to our four years of sorrows and joys, triumphs and hordships, we believe that within our hearts we hove the power to uphold and foster the beliefs and ideals that hove been instilled in us here at dear ole N.C.C.
