FACULTY We ore at the threshold of life — the point at which we feel within ourselves that we have acquired an abun- dance of knowledge which extends from the depth and height of all known boundaries. However, the knowledge that we have is a very minute quantity when compared with that which is to be obtained. To us it burns with flames reaching out in all directions but to others who hove acquired much more then we have been able to accumulate in our limited span, it smolder s with the embers dying slowly with only a small trace left to re- mind others of whot we have done. Consequently, there comes that crucial moment in our lives when those smol- dering embers of knowledge need a small spark to set the fires burning fiercely with varying degrees of intensity within us. We need a smoll light of hope so that we might keep in the channel of knowledge thot we hove chosen. For some of us who are uncertain as to the channel to follow, we look for a guiding hand which will lead us in the direction of our interests and ambitions. Knowing that in our conquest for knowledge the final victory will be one long remembered and valiontly fought, we look toward someone who will help us in our plan of strategy to overcome all obstacles which will confront us. We are cognizant of the fact that we alone cannot successfully accomplish these feats. Therefore, we need someone who has traveled the same road and encountered the same problems. This task of offering a helping and guiding hand has been left to our faculty. With years of experience and a treasure chest of knowledge to present to us, we believe that they con set the smoldering fires of knowledge burning and give a gleam of light when we need it most. The members of our faculty are aware of the task that has been placed before them. The tosk of carefully molding the lives and charocters of the future leoders of our world. As a result, it cannot be done too hastily but it must be done gradu- ally using the best tools and skills. The finishing touches must be given careful consideration so thot the final product con be compared on an equal and unbiased basis with the other competitors. This year, as in previous years, the task has been accomplished by their undying devotion as educators, their unselfish interest in our acodemic welfare, ond their efforts to help us drink from the overflowing fountain of knowledge. Although we may have vorious ways of showing our gratitude for your laborious efforts, we humbly say — Thank you for oil that you have done. Thank you — our beloved faculty.
