By your dedication and cooperative spirit, you have helped AST to reach new heights of achievements and progress. I have watched this year with special pride as you, the nation ' s foremost student body, have exhibited excellence in the classroom, in campus leadership positions, in athletics, and other extracurricular activities, and in determination to set the pace, rather than follow the crowd. This is the real meaning of the Aggie spirit which has long guided all who enter AST. These are crucial times, and we must continue our pursuit of excellence if we are to be faithful to our glorious heritage .
