FOREWORD During the past year, society ha s compounded its efforts to accomplish in many areas. More literature is available today than at any other point in the history of the world. This fact assisted by the ability of society to mechanize con- tributes to the needs for students to be aware of what is going on in the world. Mass media have made what is going on in other parts of the world almost a part of what goes on in our own areas. What does this do for students? It forces them to over tax their physical and psychological facilities to the extent that some question themselves as to whether tomorrow is worth waiting for or not. It is the fast pace of society that motivates this generation of students to stop with the hustle and bustle. They are beginning to analyze life and Its offerings to the extent that the very foundation of society IS being questioned. That is, are we more concerned about material things or life itself? This question must be an- swered by each person. However, the majority of the stu- dents feel that it is time to open their eyes and take a stand. It IS with this kind of awareness and commitment that the 1968-69 Ayantee Staff presents this publication. THE AYANTEE STAFF
