Realizing that today is done and that the sun of tomorrow is rising, we, the senior class of 1955, take another step further. Our life has not ended; it is only beginning. The time hos come when we must put into proctice the theoretical learnmg that we received at A T. The critical test is yet to come — the test that will determine success or failure. Let us turn the ponoroma of events bock to the Fall of 1951 when we invaded Aggielond. Well, well! We see ourselves in the early days when we ore entering the halls of ivy ; we see the Aggie gridsters as they tie the score with Florida A M, the basketball team as it wins over Winston-Salem Teachers College, the baseball team as it triumphs year after year with championship laurels and the boxing team OS it takes the CIAA Championship and enters NCAA competition for the first time; we see the multi-million dollar building program being realized as building after building is constructed on the campus. Con these things be forgotten? Throughout these four years we have shared happiness and hardships together, but these were promising years. This Ayontee reviews the campus activities of the post year by reflecting the outstanding events in eoch of the many phases of life here ot A T College in 1954-55. 1 saB!»ie ss88g!ai8g8Z)aiai

Dedioalioii For more yeors fhon our generotion cores to remember, the some cheerful, assuring, diminutive figure has filled o niche in the heorts of the A T College family. Regardless of what the occosion demonded, whether it wos a kind word, a bit of odvice, or an expression of gaiety, this friendly per- sonality was there to provide it. So much a port of the college is he that to remove him would be to erase what in essence rivals the great traditions of the universe. None, we dore soy, hos won more friends, hos memorized more personalities, has viewed more expressions of joy and sorrow than has this small man with the big heart who controls the campus mail. He has lived up to the highest traditions of the postal service as reflected in its motto, Neither sleet or snow, or gloom of night can stay these couriers from the safe completion of their appointed rounds. It is with matchless joy, with sincere gratitude, and with profound pride that we dedicate this, the 1955 Ayontee, to Mr. Allison Gordon, the campus postmaster. r; •!•••• «i X K V IN ,
