Jweuwd Lives of great men all remind us. we can make our lives sublime, and, departing leave behind us. FOOTPRINTS ON THE S.IXDS OF TIME. No other work, phrase, sentence, or book could better explain our stav at A. and P., and the progress made by the school, than those words written hv Henrv W. Longfellow in his poem A Psalm of Life FOOTPRINTS ON THE SANDS OF 1 ' I.ME. The staff, therefore, has chosen this quotation as the theme for this publication. The staff wishes to express its appreciation to President F. D. Bluford for his faith in our ability to edit this publication, and to Messers W. M. Bryant, and G. E. Williams, whose assistance and cooperation have been sources of inspiration. This book is our life. Each page is intended to provoke reminiscence, because it is here that we have lived. This book bears attetation to A. and T. ' s scenic beauty, to her perpetual spirit, and to the loyalty of her sons and daughters. We have inherited her spirit, drunk from her beauty and knowledge, and become a part of her. The duties of the staff have been pleasurable though at times difficult. Each word and each picture within these covers is representative of a school that is making eternal FOOTPRINTS ON THE SANDS OF TIME. The Editor.
