Jo Jhe S e emo s The voice of duty new calls forth the members of the graduating class of 1949 into a world in dire need of prepared individuals. And it is sincerely hoped that every senior, as a result of his training here, will he able to heed that call. From this grad- uating class we expect future leaders in the various communities, and propagators of wisdom who will make the world a better place. During your four cars here some of ou seniors have excelled in athletics, dra- matics, music, student government, and various other affairs. A few of the outstand- ing ones include such as John Hollingworth, a most versatile student and a very de- pendable member of the class . . . Leonard Simon, another outstanding student, influ- ential member of the class and president of Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society . . . Lawrence Shipp, president of Beta Kappa Phi . . . Albert Spruill, class prexy and member of several organizations. Others of the class who were outstanding through- out their stav here includes Smith Knight, editor of this publication, Shirley Bullock, president of Sigma Rho Sigma, Helen Blackmore, and Elizabeth Samuels. Many others could be named but space is limited, so we say simply that the College agam loses a class that will long he remembered.
