Foreword In order that the n Alma IVIater j of our student d impressions of sc : be preserved in a durable and tangi- ; [ ble form, we, the Senior Class of! 1967, present this fifth volume of; : the Banner to our student body, : ■ friends, and alumni. : We Seniors naturally find a great I importance in this too brief an out- - • line of our actions, for it is an end ‘ to our high school life. But it also ; shows a beginning, for our educa- tion and activities recorded here arc ; : just a start. It is -jusfe a pebble . j thrown in a pond beginning the . outburst of waves which will carry . ; our lives to victory over whatever we desire. , 7T Hail to thee O Northern Cambria We with reverence sing to thee, Of 911 r love and our devotion Oftur faith and loyalty. g We .will.cherish thy protection We will strive to win thee fame; We will thirst for thine affection We will always love thy name. — 1 Table Of Contents 1 — 1 Alma Mater Foreword 1 Administration I Senior Class 1 Underclassmen Favorites Sports Activities Patrons 3 Dedication Each year the senior class takes this oppor- tunity to pay tribute to an outstanding individ- ual. You can turn any corner and find Mr. Emil Traveny at his job of keeping our build- ing a pleasant place to live. In dedicating our yearbook to him, we express our sincere respect and admiration for this friend with energy, drive, and wonderful sense of humor. He is never too busy to lift his head to greet a student or to help in any way he can. It is an honor to acknowledge one who has become such an integral part of Northern Cam- bria High. And so we the class of ’67 dedicate our Banner to everyone’s friend, Mr. Emil Traveny. 4 ADMINISTRATION « :• Principal I am grateful for the invitation to write a brief message to you since it enables me to become a part of your yearbook. As the years pass this edition will mean more and more to you. It will recall faces and incidents from the happiest years of your lives. Each of you will follow the precepts set before you by your home, your church, and your school. We can but hope that this path will lead to success and happiness. Good luck. W. J. Taylor 4 Supervising Principal One of the greatest satisfactions in the American way of life is the knowledge that when the youth of our country are called upon they will measure up to the demand —whether it be war or peace. The graduates from the Northern Cambria High School have proved and are proving the accuracy of this statement. The graduating class of 1967 is one of the best. Good luck. Dr. W.
