The board of education, administrators, counselors, and faculty have done their best to guide, to understand, to discipline, and to prepare you to take your place in society. I dare you graduating seniors to take your first steps confidently with the knowledge that you have had every educational opportunity. I dare you to use all that you have derived from your education to help perpetuate the democratic way of life. I dare you to enter society with the idea that you can do something, however great or small, to make this world a better place in which to live. Guidance counselors Mary Margaret Flanagan and Blair Leonard are always glad to sit down with us and discuss our problems, help us to make decisions, and to understand more about ourselves. They encourage us to set our goals high and counsel us on how to achieve them. Vernon Krug, N.C.H.S. librarian, has dubbed the library a learning laboratory which supplements classroom work. Mr. Krug has worked hard to stock his library with educational materials to aid students in their studies. 10
