C. SANDERS, Retired 1970 MR. 0. C. SANDERS, a graduate of Northwestern and Louisiana State University began his career as a science teacher and football coach. In 1952 he became principal of Vivian High School where he served until 1955. He then became principal of our New Consolidated school — NORTH CADDO. We fondly remember Mr. Sanders as a devoted teacher, administrator and a loyal friend. MRS. NORVIE H. BURR is a graduate of Louisiana Tech and Columbia University. Her experience varies from the 6th and 7th grade teacher to high school biology, English, and general science. She was also supervisor of L.S.U. student teachers and promoted to assistant professor while at L.S.U. Miss Norvie” as she was affectionately known to students and teachers began at North Caddo as assistant principal. Here she has held the love and respect of students while coun- seling and disciplining them. At the end of 1971, Miss Norvie” completes 46 years of serv- ice. TO THESE TWO PEOPLE WHO ARE THEMSELVES DEDICATED, THE REBEL STAFF PROUDLY DEDICATES THIS BOOK. These three teachers retired at the close of the 1970 school year. Their unique styles of teaching and their willingness to give unselfishly of their own time has won a place in our hearts. To you, Mrs. Gleason, Miss Kimmons and Mrs. McKenzie, we the Rebel Staff fondly make this tribute in sincere appreciation of your contributions to our school. IKrs. OCorv e 3f. 03urr TKrs.
