urpose Southern Accenters Meg Williams and Mar- garet Broussard prepare Jo sell Xmas wrap- pings and bows. The ultimate aim of our school is to develop boys and girls into good citizens who will fill creditable places in the several communities they represent. Such purposefulness is promoted from various purposes. Among the latter is the school paper, which under careful leadership, enlists the discriminating intelligence of both faculty advisor and staff members. Its workers are stimulated to practice integrity and fairness in presenting the news. Contributions of the band and the choral groups to the general pur- pose of our school are far-reaching and meaningful. Not only do they develop student appreciation of the art of music and accomplishment in the skills involved, but they serve as ties strongly linking the com- munities because all the world loves music. Isn't the table pretty with the trophies given on Awards Day? Jim T. Moore presents awards to Coach Rogers and Manager Kenny Smith from the Track Boys. 4 The Rebel Band helps to open the North Caddo Parish Fair.

The Rebel fans really turned out for 1960 games. eo pie Numerically speaking also, NCHS, is an impressive institu- tion. The student enrollment for 1960-61 reached the 706 high water mark. The administrative staff of three; two secretaries and thirteen student assistants make up the office personnel. One full-time librarian and thirty student trainees maintain the library. A cafeteria manager with five helpers in addition to student workers preside over student meals. The custodian staff of one supervisor and six assistants keep a clean, well-operated plant. Transporting the students to NC from the seven communities are eighteen bus drivers. Sports club devotees, band and choir parents, Rebelette mothers and many others who support our various activities are included in our personnel. This is the best time of the day. Chow time!!! Notice our handsomest boys meet at the same table. 6
