These are the girls who help Mrs. Hartline and Mr. Pendergrass keep the office running. L. to R.: Linda Barr, Ellen Mayfield, Myrtle Cornwell, Lucille Burks, Gayle Chellette, Audriss Barnes. Center, Carter and End, Thacker getting instructions from the Referee at the beginning of the Home- coming game. The Rebel fans really turned out for 1960 games. eo pie Numerically speaking also, NCHS, is an impressive institu- tion. The student enrollment for 1960-61 reached the 706 high water mark. The administrative staff of three; two secretaries and thirteen student assistants make up the office personnel. One full-time librarian and thirty student trainees maintain the library. A cafeteria manager with five helpers in addition to student workers preside over student meals. The custodian staff of one supervisor and six assistants keep a clean, well-operated plant. Transporting the students to NC from the seven communities are eighteen bus drivers. Sports club devotees, band and choir parents, Rebelette mothers and many others who support our various activities are included in our personnel. This is the best time of the day. Chow time!!! Notice our handsomest boys meet at the same table. 6
