The 1979-1980 l.V. Basketball team had a better than 500 percent season posting a 10-8 record. The team also participated in a Junior Varsity tournament in East Brunswick. Led by Coach Brzowski the team used many ideas of the varsity, including a man to man defense and a 3-2 offense. However the team also displayed a 2-3 zone. The team captain was Chris Dimino, who was teamed up in the backcourt with point guard Pat Donahue. Also in the backcourt was lim Donahue with Kevin Chandlee. Under the boards was center Chris Tabourne, forwards Dave Ostrazewski, Scott Mirinov, Scott Racz, lim White, and Mike Piazza. Overall the team had a very strong year and should strengthen the varsity squad next year.
