M97 F i W 41-.gr Col. Henry Adams has spearheaded the JROTC program at North Brunswick since its inception. Building a program from the ground floor was a most difficult assignment but a challenging one. Sgt. Willis Daniels is assisting Col. Adams in the JROTC program. Both gentlemen work in tandem to assure a program which is smoothly functioning. Col. Adams and Sgt. Daniels prepare the cadets for the annual inspection. It takes precision and precise timing to form an excellent drill team. Cadets involved in drill teams spend long hours working on their various maneuvers Of course, the hard work pays off when the cadets perform at events. . gifjm, xp MR Xi

J RCTC COMPANIES B ua as 'QE' 9515.525 b e .fs Teamwork is a Vital part of functioning as a JROTC cadet. The teamwork concept teaches each individual to rely on his fellow cadet while working in a common cause. Each company is required to be team-oriented. Discipline is also required to be a JROTC cadet. This requires determination on the part of the individual. The will to excel and the will to win will never die and are more important, of course, than all of the events which occasion them. In order to excel, a cadet must have discipline. JROTC cadets exemplify a cross-section of students at North Brunswick. Each cadet is evaluated and there is a file which indicates his or her progress. Awards are given periodically. eo B9

i llt OWVIF L lass, QTII-e'-Sf' 5 9 JROTC QUEEN yf ' The JROTC program annually conducts a ball which culminates with the crowning of the JROTC Queen. This year's queen is shown above. JROTC is concerned with the study of rifle marksmanship, safety, military history, first aid and hygiene and use of the compass.
