MERPUIS NEW PROFESSIONALS' ICT VICA The ICT VICA chapter is extremely active. During the past four years, the club has produced three state champions in employee competency and radio-TV repair contests at state conferences. During the year, the ICT VICA chapter conducted Thanksgiving and Christmas projects. At Thanksgiving, food was given to needy families. Toys were given to children with special needs. Mr. Cox and Mrs. Thayer are the ICT VICA advisors. The officers are shown on this page with the national VICA emblem. ICT VICA members wear special tee-shirts.

YOUTH COU CIL +5 M C00 fs 6 QF 'VN Cllv' An effective way for students to speak out on political issues is through the youth council. The North Brunswick chapter was started last year. North's chapter is affiliated with the state youth council. Members of the youth council are eligible to participate on task forces at the state level. In the pictures on page 75, members are shown in the conference room. Youth council members are enthusiastic.

VICA stands for the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America - a national organization for stu- dents involved in trades. Carpentry VICA elects a set of officers: President, vice-presi- dent, parliarnentarian, secre- tary, treasurer and reporter. The VICA motto is Preparing for leadership in the world of work.
