We soon became acquainted with each other and settled down to the enrichment of our lives. With eagerness we entered our freshman year of high school. Our president was Ruth Foster, and Mr. Pendleton, our advisor. Our out- side activities were few since this was our first year in high school. Then we were sophomores. Entering with a little more confidence, we elected our class officers with Ruth Dellinger as president. Mr. Childers was our leader. When we returned as juniors in the summer of °’51, we were very aware of the responsibility placed upon our shoulders. Our president was Don Pendleton. Under the watchful eye of Mr. Heavner, we set to work. Among our most exciting activities was the presenting of the Jun- Play, ‘‘By Any Other Name.’’ Our Junior-Senior Banquet was on April 4. In May came graduation. We helped with the commencement exercises Be presenting the daisy chain to the Seniors. “We were sorry to see our classmates leave but we were glad to be replacing them as Seniors. Returning for our final year in July, 1952, under the guiding hand of Mrs. Parker, we were fully aware of the task ahead. Wanda Lee Houser was elected president, and we dignified Seniors went about our duties. We selected Gerald Turner and Patricia Spangler as our Mas- cots. The chief things accomplished were the class play, ‘‘Amazing Gracie,’’ the publishing of the ‘‘Babbling Brook’’ and ‘‘Le Souvenir. ’ The Junior-Senior is an event we shall always remember. It was won- derful to be honored in this way. Qur history as a class ends when we aceept our diplomas and leave the halls of North Brook High. However, each individual will write his own history, by his deeds and actions, as he pursues his way down the road of life. F Kay Wehunt, Class Historian Og?
