Many changes took place over the year in both the world around us and in our own little world, school. Making the headlines in the world were everything from the bad boys of baseball, the Mets, winning the World Series to a sarcastic alien from Melmak in his own televi- sion show. The year also saw one of the United States most popular presidents get caught in the middle of a huge controversary, known as the Iran Arms Deal. Anti- drug campaigns entered every aspect of our lives from T.V. to magazines. Stereo televisions and compact disc were becoming increasingly popular. Almost every car that was seen had a little yellow sign in the window proclaiming what was on board . It wasn't a fashion statement everyone was making this year, but instead the question GUESS? In school, there were many changes, and yet many things remained the same. The building itself underwent some major improvements including the counseling cen- ter and the self-serve cafeteria. The familiar varsity lock- ers were removed. It was also a time for a change in command as Mr. Lambert went over to the Jr. High to be principal; while Mr. Schleicher moved up to principal and Mr. Kilbourn assistant-principal of the hign school. The year also had its lows as two fellow classmates, Mark Neighorn and Paul Demoines, died. One thing that did not change is excellent athletics, including the Thumb B champion girls' basketball team. Most importantly it was a year we enjoyed, in and out of school.
