Our Guests Ans Tankink arrived from Haaksbergen, Holland, August 1964 to begin her life as an American student at North Branch High School. She came to make her home for one year with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Misener, her American parents. Her American sister, Sue Misener, is a junior at N.B.H.S. Ans is a vivacious, fun-loving girl with many friends. The student body showed their approval of Ans by choosing her as Home- coming Queen. She is a 5’6 brunette with brown eyes. Her hobbies are reading, swimming, dancing, and listening to classics. She is a member of the Student Council, treasurer of Future Nurses, and had a part in the senior play. Her future plans include furthering her education and traveling. After two years Ans plans to return to the United States. We hope that she will. Marina Altman, our second exchange student, is from Montivideo, Uruguay. She arrived late in October to spend her senior year with her new family, theMaberys. Her American sister, Carolyn, is also a senior. Marina has a friendly, outgoing person- ality and a warm smile to go with it. She is a 5'4 brunette with blue eyes. Her hobbies consist of swimming, folk dancing, decla- mation, sports, and knitting. She is a member of the Future Teachers, Future Nurses, Student Council, 4-H Club, and was in the Homecoming Court. Marina wants to become a doctor of medicine when she returns to Uruguay. We will always remember our first for- eign exchange students with fond memories and extend best wishes for their future. 12
