North Branch High School North Branch, Michigan BRONCONIAN 1965 DEDICATION We, the 1964-65 Annual Staff fondly dedicate our yearbook to you, Mr. Robert E. Peet. We are deeply indebted to you for your time and efforts spent in workingwith us. Your kindness will always be remembered. Thank-you so much The Annual Staff With the passage of years you may look back upon this school year as the time when the darkness of ignorance suddenly became light with the gleam of knowledge. To preserve a record of these moments and the countless other experiences of you and your classmates, this annual strives to capture the eyes and mind of the scholarship, the leadership, the activities, and the character of North Branch High School. TABLE OF CONTENTS f Administration and Faculty Football Basketball Organizations Underclassmen ADMINISTRATION and FACULTY Mr. Leo Swoish, Trustee Board Principal, Mr. Jack Vincent Our administrators are very much like construction bosses. The administrators design the basic plan for the future; the teacher works out the details and the student begins to grow. Because the administrators realize the problems of the future, we grow here at N.B.H.S. Board of Education, superintendent, principal, together with the counselor and teachers help us to plan our future wisely. In the picture above is Mr. Donald Knox, Secretary of the Board of Education, Mr. Allen, Lake, Vice President, and Mr. Archie Maery, Treasurer. She came to make her home for one year with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Misener, her American parents. Her American sister, Sue Misener, is a junior at N.B.H.S. Ans is a vivacious, fun-loving girl with many friends. The student body showed their approval of Ans by choosing her as Home- coming Queen. She is a 5’6 brunette with brown eyes. Her hobbies are reading, swimming, dancing, and listening to classics. She is a member of the Student Council, treasurer of Future Nurses, and had a part in the senior play. Her future plans include furthering her education and traveling. After two years Ans plans to return to the United States. We hope that she will. Marina Altman, our second exchange student, is from Montivideo, Uruguay. She arrived late in October to spend her senior year with her new family, theMaberys. Her American sister, Carolyn, is also a senior. Marina has a friendly, outgoing person- ality and a warm smile to go with it. She is a 5'4 brunette with blue eyes. Her hobbies consist of swimming, folk dancing, decla- mation, sports, and knitting. She is a member of the Future Teachers, Future Nurses, Student Council, 4-H Club, and was in the Homecoming Court. Marina wants to become a doctor of medicine when she returns to Uruguay. We will always remember our first for- eign exchange students with fond memories and extend best wishes for their future. 12 The hush of an empty theater . anguish of rehearsals . . . casting . grease paint . . . lighting . . . desig and redesigning of sets . . ■ watching sea of faces over the footlights on 0{ ing night . . . and another play is b The members of the Drama Club 1 experienced a successful year as presented THE HAPPY TIME. working watching waiting 13 14 Sherryann Beckman Sherry” Sandra Burnette Sandy Marie Bowman Garry Butler Sharon Chambers ’’Sherry 15 Gary Collins James Jankowski Jim Paul Kohler Patrick Jones Pat Henry Hyde Hank Glenn Jamison Susan Johnson Sue 22 23 Phyllis Olson James Rogers Jim” Van Salmond Sharon Rozanski Patricia Robison Pat Candice Ryder Candy” Gwendolyn Sanborn Gwen” Joan Stanton Robert Svoboda -Bob” Ans Tank Ink Linda Swadling Paul Snoblen Linda Sutherland North Branch 6 Marlette 0 North Branch 25 C arrollton 0 North Branch 6 Birch Run 7 North Branch 41 Harbor Beach 6 North Branch 26 Imlay City 13 North Branch 19 Millington 0 North Branch 7 Deckerville 7 North Branch 45 Chesaning 0 North Branch 25 Aurthur Hill T. 6 Saginaw Varsity Squad row: Mick Hogan, Gary Turner, Norm Edwards, Neil Sealey, Jack Walker, Brian Hagemeister, Gary Currell, Mark Sampson, Dennis Smith, Steve Moore.
