Moments We Shared First Season in New Gym This is a picture of the first toss-up in the new gym. The season got under way Friday evening. November 29, when the Broncos played host to the Kingston Cardinals. It also was the first victory with a score of 53 to 49. The next two games were also victorious for N.B. as they won from Bridgeport 71-69 and Ortonville 73-60. They lost the next three games to Deckerville, Port Huron St. Stevens, and Imlay City. The Broncos came alive again and won the next three games from Ortinville, Millington (in overtime) and Peck High. Then came the deciding game in the Bronco's season, the confer- ence game with Deckerville. This night and the next three games had the same results, losses to Romeo, Imlay City, and Bridgeport. The Broncos had one more conference game with Millington. Karl Krepps was the hero that night, as he shot a jump shot the last six seconds from twenty feet and, Swish! the game was over and N.B. had won. The '64 District Tournament was held in Vassar. During the first quarter of the game the Broncos were running wild as they held Vassar to a 17-15 lead. However, the rest of the game proved to be the downfall of N.B. We were beaten by a score of 71-62. This year the Broncos had four play- ers make all conference team. Ralph Margrif a senior, was chosen to be on the first team; Glenn Jamison, a junior was chosen to be on the second team; and honorable mention went to Dennis Bugg and Karl Krepps, both seniors. Combining sportsmanship and playing, the Broncos had a very good season. The Broncos and Mr. Marazita have enjoyed and appreciated their year in the new gymnasium.
