Saxophones: SEATED: Ardis Harper, Tom Frampton, Cheryl Costello, Carolyn Mabery, Sherry Smith, Carol Ritter, Karen Galagher. STANDING: Sarah Hallock, Jim Hibbard, Ron Hicks, Judy McDowell, Nina Mitchell, Linda Fox, Susan Harper. The high stepping North Branch Bronco Marching Band had a very successful marching season. Their first appearance was playing at the Imlay City in August 1963. They played at all the football games; the highlight of the season was the annual lights-out show. The marching band performed for the Memorial Day Parade and on June 6 in Flint for the installation of Mr. LeRoy Mclnally as the State Commander of the Masons. The concert band had its most successful season in the past seven years. Many awards were won. In solo ensemble, fifteen out of sixteen events won awards. Linda Fox and Sherry Smith participated in the State Solo Ensemble Festival. Sherry received a first rating and Linda a second. Clarinets: SEATED: Wanda Sutherland, Bonnie Fike, Made- lyn Sanborn, Olive Ford, Georgia Sch- midtke, Charles Curell. STAND- ING: Mary Butter- field, Suzanne Gra- ham, Jane Haack, Gerry Seih, Rose- mary Wilder, Carol Stevens, Ruth Miles, Shirley Smith.

STANDING --Barbara Robinson; Linda Ferrier; Ellen Hunt; Jim Rogers; Pat Jones; Lloyd Lake; Sue Johnson; Susan Margrif; Elaine Morrison; Joyce Kuzma; Janet Osinski; Mr. Bogar. The Bronco staff had lots of fun and worked hard gathering and editing the news of interest in the BRONCO EXPRESS. Human Science Club. People and why they do what they do was this group's focal interest. ROW 1; Candy Ryder, Beth Lowe, Nina Mitchell, Phylis Huffman, Anabel Ritter, Mary Bauer, Wayne DeGrow. ROW 2: Mr. Huffman, Karl Krepps, Tom F ramp ton, Cary Marsh, Dennis Bugg. BACK ROW: Linda Fox, Judy McDowell, Carol Buono, Linda Ankley, Linda Gormley, Carla James, Linda T raubenkraut. Learning and Pleasure in Two New Clubs The Photography Club was newly organized this year. Mr. Straus, their sponsor, is himself quite an accomplished shutter-bug. Trombones and Basses: Seated in FRONT: Phyl- lis Huffman, Billy Haack, Henry Hyde, Gary Curell, Janice Mead, Eugene Peplinski. STANDING: Gwendolyn San- born, Lynn Mow- att, Linda Swad- ling, Lary Ball, James Sillers, Danny Hauxwell. Branch Band HI Cornets, SEATED: Jill O'Dell, Brenda Ross, Diane Snoblin, Carol Buono, Donna Hebberd, Mary Jane Bartholomy. STANDING: Jerry Chambers, George Robinet, Jim Gormley, Neil Sealey, James Gardner. The Senior Band entered the District Competi- tion at Buena Vista where they received a first in Class B competition for the second consecu- tive year. This entitled them to go to the State Band Competition held at Lansing where they received a second division in Class B. There were 130 medals won by this band in these two events. They also won two plaques, one from district and one from state competition. Flutes: LaVina Chase, Jane Pittman, Linda Sutherland. Drums: Geof Shaw, Jerry Oxyer, Fran- cis Baldwin, Clare June.
