Valedictorian, Larry Gormley; Salutatorian, Thomas Barnes. SENIORS REACH THE SUMMIT Much hard work and long hours of study bring these seniors to the top. Larry Gormley was named Valedictorian with an average of 3.786, and Thomas Barnes, Salutatorian with an average of 3.619. Clark Smoke became the first North Branch FFA student to receive the State Farmer Degree, the highest degree given in the organization. He also received Honorable mention for his entry in the Editorial contest sponsored by the Detroit Free Press and the Women's Advertising Club of Detroit. Mary Jane Monroe, Secretary; Laura Mead, Vice President; Willson, Marsh, Treasurer; Thomas Barnes, President; John Clothier, Member of Student Council.
